In short: we collect what we need to consider you for a job — your contact details, your CV and your interview answers — we show it to the employer you applied to, we never sell it, and you can download or delete everything yourself from the status link in your application email.
TalentAI Egypt ("we") operates the recruitment platform at talentai-eg.com, which lets candidates in Egypt apply to jobs and complete an AI-assisted screening interview, and lets employers review those applications. We act as the data controller for candidate data collected through this platform. Contact: [email protected].
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Name, email address, phone number, years of experience | To identify your application and contact you about it. |
| Your CV file and the text extracted from it | To assess your fit for the role and let the employer review your background. |
| Your answers to screening questions, the AI interview, skills quizzes and practical tasks | To evaluate your application against the role's requirements. |
| Optional video or voice answers, and their transcripts | Only if the role asks for them and you choose to record. Transcription is automated. |
| Application status, timestamps, and messages you exchange with the recruiter | To run the hiring process and let you track it. |
Referral source (for example a ?ref link) and basic technical data such as IP address | To attribute where applications come from, and for security and rate limiting. |
| Website analytics via the Meta Pixel — pages you view on this site, and the fact that an application was submitted | To measure and target our recruitment advertising on Facebook and Instagram. It records the event and the job title, never your CV, your answers or your contact details. You can block it with any tracker-blocking browser or extension. |
| Your WhatsApp number and opt-in status, if you choose it | To send you updates about your own application on WhatsApp. See section 5. |
| If you message or comment on our Facebook Page or Instagram account: the text you sent and the platform-scoped account id Meta gives us | To answer your question about our jobs and how to apply. We do not receive your name, profile or contact details, and we do not store the message in our own database. See section 6. |
We do not ask for, and you should never send us, national ID numbers, bank details or passwords during an application. New hires may later be asked to upload employment documents (such as ID or certificates) through their own status page as part of onboarding, if they are hired.
Some of these providers process data outside Egypt, including in the European Union and the United States. Where that happens we rely on the provider's contractual data-protection terms.
WhatsApp updates are optional and off by default. If you tick the box when applying, we send one confirmation message asking you to reply YES; we only send further updates after that number confirms. Replying STOP at any time permanently ends WhatsApp messages to that number. Ticking the box on the form is a request — it does not by itself start messages, which is deliberate so a mistyped number is not messaged.
If you send a direct message to our Facebook Page or our Instagram account, or comment on one of our posts, an automated assistant replies to you with information about our currently open roles and how to apply. It only ever replies to a conversation you started — we never message you first, we never send promotional or bulk messages, and every reply links only to talentai-eg.com.
Messaging us on Facebook or Instagram is separate from applying: it does not create an application, and it is not the WhatsApp channel in section 5.
We keep applications while they are useful for hiring, and we keep talent-pool records until you ask us to remove them. The most reliable way to have your data removed is to delete it yourself — it takes one click and happens immediately (see section 9). The platform also supports a scheduled purge that deletes applications a set number of days after a decision was recorded on them; where it is switched on, deletion is automatic, and you can ask us at [email protected] what the current period is for your application.
Honest limitation: the encryption key is stored on the same server that serves the site, so encryption protects against copied backups and disk-level access, not against someone who fully compromises the running server. Interview video and voice recordings are currently stored unencrypted. No independent penetration test has been performed on this platform yet.
Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law 151/2020) you may access, correct, or delete your personal data, and object to how it is processed. Two ways to exercise this:
Deletion removes your data from our platform. An employer who already downloaded your CV holds their own copy under their own obligations; ask them directly, and tell us if you need help reaching them.
The platform is for people of legal working age in Egypt. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use existing candidate data will be notified by email where we hold a valid address.
Questions, requests or complaints: [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to Egypt's data protection authority.
